Cantine Scolari was founded in 1929 and is located in Valtènesi, on the western shore of Lake Garda. The land was already highly praised by the poets of antiquity for its fertility and microclimate. This region is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vineyards, olive trees and lemon orchards. The grapes for Scolari Lugana DOC are harvested in late September/early October. Soft pressing, static cold clarification, slow fermentation at controlled temperature and aging on the skins in steel tanks take place. Tasting notes:Straw yellow with golden reflections in the glass. Pleasant floral aroma with fruity notes of green apples on the nose. Fresh and tasty on the palate. Long lasting finish with an aftertaste of bitter almonds. Grape Variety: Turbiana/Trebbiano di Lugana. Soil: Light clay layers with calcareous components that are very rich in minerals. Residual sugar: 5 g/l. Total extract: 27 g/l. Serving temperature: 10-12°C. Enjoy the wine with appetizers and first courses with fish, carpaccio of meat and raw fresh, or with cold dishes.
