Ron de Jeremy's Holy Wood Collection is based on three different types of casks from the already closed Uitvlugt Distillery. The rum production in Guyana can be traced back to the 17th century. At that time, every small sugar cane plantation had its own small rum distillery. The Uitvlugt Distillery was founded in 1798 and closed in 1999 for its 200th anniversary. The rum matures for two years in former Bourbon barrels and 18 years in former Cognac barrels. After filtering with cotton cloth, the rum is filled into barrels. A great temptation for rum and cognac fans!Tasting notes:Colour: gold. Nose: vanilla, raisins, fruit. Taste: Well balanced, warming, smoky, citrus aromas. Finish: Long lasting, oak.
