The name Compagnie des Indes derives from the East India Companies (Great Britain, Holland, France and Portugal). These trading companies traveled to America and India to import various goods into their home country. The brand itself was founded in 2014 and includes selected blends as well as single cask bottlings from a wide variety of distilleries. All single cask bottlings are neither re-sugared nor colored with sugar couleur. The Compagnie des Indes Cuba Single Cask Rum 11 ans matures for 11 years in former ex-bourbon barrels.
