The Antica Sambuca is produced in the distillery Rossi d'Asiago in Italy. The distillery has existed since 1968, it was founded by a young chemist named Giovan Battista Rossi. Rossi's recipe was revised and so the newly interpreted anise liqueur was launched in 2001. The natural distillate is refined with anise and 15 other spices and herbs. Tasting notes:Colour: Clear. Nose: Spicy, star anise. Taste: Intense, soft, sweetish, anise. Finish: Long lasting. Sambuca is popular as a shot, on the rocks, in cocktails and mixed drinks. You can also use the anise liqueur to refine desserts.
