Navy Island Rum XO Reserve is a "small batch" Jamaica Rum, which consists of different selected rums, which were all traditionally distilled in Jamaica in Potstills and then married together. The rums used come from the three distilleries Hampden, Worthy Park and Monymusk and result in a rather heavy rum for pure pleasure. Since Jamaica became a British colony in the middle of the 17th century and the British Royal Navy, among others, established a base there, the term "Navy Rum" is still associated with the heavy and aromatic Jamaican rums. Navy Island Rum is free of aromas such as sugar, glycerine, vanillin or spices and is therefore absolutely natural and original in taste. It was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels on Jamaica, which means that the barrels were constantly exposed to tropical conditions and thus also experienced an intensive maturing process.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber.
